Training certain manoeuvres, such as an engine failure directly after lift-off, are simply to dangerous in a real DC-3 airplane. Therefore Mr Verburg and his team at MPS (Multi Pilot Simulation) decided to build a flight simulator, accurately mimicking performance and control movement of the real DC3.
We want to improve flight safety by training pilots efficiently and safely at a fraction of the normal real airplane training cost. MPS is granted an operator status and the DC-3 flight simulator has been FTD-2 certified. The highest possible approval level from the EASA.
